Deity The first attribute of God is that God is Deity. Since God is the creator of the universe he must have existed before the created universe. Thus He must have always existed or be Eternal. Therefore it is logical to conclude that God has always been Deity by definition since he has always existed and so has Divine essence. Holy Spirit The second attribute of God is that God is the Holy Spirit. The holy spirit is the main aspect of the deity. It cannot be fully described by human language, but can be explained as something apart from God's essence, but yet infused by his essence. The holy spirit knows all things and all things are manifested through it. The holy spirit transfers knowledge to humans so that they will know truth. It also gives power to act on what they know, just as the gift of knowledge enables one to act on it. Divine Source/Origin/Directing Principle The third attribute of God is that God is the Divine Source/Origin/Directing Principle. Everything that occurs in the universe has a cause which explains it. The source of this effect is God's Divine essence. It is the only possible explanation for how anything happens, why anything happens and also where everything came from. It also directs human action and serves as our common goal. Omnipresence, Timelessness and Omniscience The next attribute is that God is omnipresent, timeless and omniscient.
